The Council of Ministers which convened on Wednesday at 11:00 local time, under Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades, will discuss about the extension until end of April of restrictive measures aiming to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

The Cabinet is also expected to discuss the proposals by the competent Ministries on financial and social support measures to address the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as the possible repatriation of Cypriot students who are not among the vulnerable groups of the population.
 
President Anastasiades is expected to announce the decisions taken after the meeting of the Cabinet.
 
A ministerial committee that met on Monday under President Anastasiades discussed ways to further handle the coronavirus pandemic.
