Lakkotrypis take part in the Economist’s Roundtable to Athens

Τhe Economist’s 23rd Roundtable with the Government of Greece, titled “A dialogue of consciousness and awareness”

Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry, Georgios Lakkotrypis will travel to Athens on Tuesday to take part in the Economist’s 23rd Roundtable with the Government of Greece, titled “A dialogue of consciousness and awareness”.

At the conference, which started on Tuesday, political, business and academic leaders from all over the world discuss about decisions, risks, potential and disputes at all levels.

Lakkotrypis will address Wednesday’s second day discussion on “AN ENERGY HUB IN SOUTH-EAST EUROPE”. This topic will examine energy exploration in the eastern Mediterranean, the potential of Ionian Sea and Crete, an update on gas pipelines and LNG projects, environmental risks, energy transformation and the business perspective.

The main speaker will be Kostas Hatzidakis, Greece’s new minister of environment and energy, member of the Greek Parliament and vice-president of the New Democracy party. Earlier, Lakkotrypis will hold a meeting with his new counterpart.
