The two ministries are conducting efforts to strengthen and further develop relations

Education, Culture, Sports and Youth Minister, Prodromos Prodromou held a teleconference on Sunday with Bahrain’s Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Aymen Almoayed, in the framework of the President of the Republic’s official visit to Bahrain.

A press release issued by the Cypriot Ministry said Prodromou underlined the two ministries are conducting efforts to strengthen and further develop relations and this is evident by the president’s visit to Bahrain and his cooperation with King Hamad bin Isa Khalifa.

The two Ministers discussed ways to strengthen relations, especially between young people at a practical level as well as exchange of experiences and know-how.

During the meeting, there was an exchange of views on the reforms in both countries, with special reference to the strategic planning regarding policies on youth. “Special reference was made on the association of the education system with society’s needs and opportunities as well as the employment opportunities and graduates’ orientation”, the statement added.

The two Ministers agreed on the common desire to strengthen relations, exchange know-how on youth matters, sports and education reform and agreed to set a regular basis for bilateral cooperation by appointing next week a service liaison as well as technical contact groups from both sides to organise common activities.
