President of the Republic: Will pay an official visit to Austria
The President of the Republic Mr. Nicos Anastasiades leaves tomorrow afternoon for Vienna, Austria, for a two-day official visit at the invitation of the President of Austria Mr. Alexander Van der Bellen.
On 11 March, President Anastasiades will be officially welcomed by the President of Austria for a private meeting at the Presidential Office, in Vienna, which will be followed by expanded talks between the delegations of the two countries.
After their talks, the two Presidents will make remarks to the media.
The President of the Republic will also attend an official luncheon hosted in his honour by the Austrian President.
On 12 March, President Anastasiades will meet with the Chancellor of Austria Mr. Sebastian Kurz.
During his meetings, President Anastasiades will discuss, among other issues, the latest developments regarding the Migration issue in the European Union including the increased migration flows in Cyprus, Turkey’s policy on the matter and the situation at the Greek borders with Turkey, which are also EU borders. He will also brief the Austrian leaders on the current situation concerning the Cyprus problem.
The President of the Republic will be accompanied in Vienna by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, the Government Spokesman Mr. Kyriacos Kousios and other officials.
