Cyprus authorities announced on Sunday afternoon that they detected three new coronavirus cases after testing 58 additional samples taken from people who were repatriated. Earlier n Sunday, authorities announced that they detected no new confirmed COVID-19 cases, after conducting 1,194 laboratory tests.
 
According to the latest information the Epidemiological Unit received from a laboratory, tests on 58 more samples were concluded late on Sunday, detecting three COVID-19 positive cases, the Ministry says, adding that the procedure to trace their close contacts has been initiated.
 
The total number of laboratory tests concluded on Sunday rose to 1,252, while the total number of positive cases increased to 983, the announcement concludes.
