Trade deficit presents annual increase in the first half of 2019

The trade deficit of Cyprus increased to €2.401,9 mn in January - June 2019

 
The trade deficit of Cyprus increased to €2.401,9 mn in January - June 2019 from €1.791,3 mn in the corresponding period of 2018, the Statistical Service announced on Friday.
 
Total imports in January - June 2019 amounted to €4.096,1 mn as compared with €4.462,0 mn in January - June 2018. Total exports (covering total exports to third countries and to EU Member States) in January - June 2019 were €1.694,2 mn compared with €2.670,7 mn in January - June 2018.
 
Total exports of domestically produced goods, excluding stores and provisions, in January - June 2019 were €643,4 mn compared with €751,8 mn in January - June 2018. Total domestic exports of industrial products in January - June 2019 were €570,6 mn compared with €680,2 mn in January - June 2018. Total domestic exports of agricultural products in January - June 2019 were €65,0 mn compared with €62,8 mn in January - June 2018.
