WiSpear: The company obeys and adheres to Cyprus laws

The last few days the media are publishing a number of articles regarding to the van belonging to WiSpear. The company chose to remain silent until the police concludes their investigation.

However, it has come to our attention that our company and members are involved, against our will, in a rumors turmoil mixing facts with inaccurate data and theories that confuse instead of elaborating on the case. Therefore, with the following official statement, the company would like to clarify on the issue, assisting on the better understanding of the case to the extent that it concerns it. 

The company was incorporated in 2013 and started operating in early 2017.

Throughout its operation, the company did not sell any intelligence systems to Cypriot authorities, neither rented or any of such.

The sole scope of the company is that of selling products and technology it develops and does not provide any intelligences services whatsoever to any of its clients.

The car has not been active within Cypriot territory other than for demo and field tests purposes only and on company owned devices, and under the guidelines of the local authorities and acknowledgment. It’s field testing has only been conducted the past year, which is the total time span of the van’s existence in Cyprus and not prior to November 2018.

Upon company decision it maintain the right to publish supporting documents of communication with the authorities on the matter. 

The shareholders of this company never had any dealings with any political party whatsoever, either on a personal or professional basis.

Additionally and due to the fact that Jewish community members were mentioned in some media coverage, the company wish to clarify that its operations and works in Cyprus are not associated with the Jewish community, the same applies to the company members.

The company obeys and adheres to Cyprus laws and are retaining the right to respond in due time with all legal methods.
