Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited is seeking to recruit a Business Analyst at the Corporate Development & Products Division. Among other things, the Business Analyst will focus on setting up certain new businesses, in order to capture specific market opportunities, as well as consider how to utilise latest technologies and data analytics to improve the performance of existing businesses and processes, products and services.

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify customer and business needs, propose solutions and translate into business propositions for further assessment
  • Develop ideas for approval and operational implementation
  • Produce business plans, build financial models, put forward business propositions
  • Able to articulate building blocks in setting up a new business, in particular workflows, process and technology solutions (incl. partnerships with Fintech)
  • Able to coordinate assessment of business proposition by all relevant internal stakeholders, such as Business Units, Legal, Compliance, IT, Digital, etc.
  • Gather, organise, analyse business related information and conduct own research
  • Liaise with Business Units to introduce business/product/service ideas

Candidate Profile

  • Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Computer Science, Information Technology and Business; a combination of the abovementioned fields is required
  • At least 5 years of work experience as a Business or Technology Analyst, preferably in Financial Services sector
  • Experience with data analytics and familiarity with business intelligent tools, such as SAS VA, Microsoft BI, Tableau, or any other BI tool will be considered an advantage
  • Experience in Project Management will be considered an advantage
  • Commercially aware of latest trends in the Banking industry
  • Able to apply critical judgement in assessing opportunities
  • Sufficient knowledge of latest technologies and their applicability to Banking, such as blockchain, distributed ledger, analytics, cloud, machine learning/AI
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter
  • Proactive, resourceful and diligent
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to engage with people at all levels
  • Able to write well-structured materials in Word and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (particularly Excel); able to build financial models in Excel
  • Fluency in Greek and English, both verbal and written

  • Business Analyst (Card Services)

Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited, one of the leading Financial Institutions in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit for the position of Business Analyst at the Card Services Department. The successful candidate will join the Cards Business Analysts team and, among other tasks, will analyze and translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensure system integrity and serve as the link between business and IT.

Main Responsibilities

  • Gather, consolidate, organize, analyse and clearly document business requirements and technology-related information
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications and detailed test analysis and communicate these to the solution development team
  • Lead the testing and implementation of system changes, enhancements, product releases and mandates of Visa and Mastercard
  • Design, specify and execute test scenarios and test scripts
  • Analyze and document business processes and write detailed procedures
  • Serve as a link between the business, the development team and any third-party vendor regarding software functionality throughout the development cycle
  • Implement changes to documented requirements, processes, procedures and test plans 
  • Analyze business’ system problems and issues, propose solutions and assume responsibility for maintaining system integrity
  • Keep up to date with Visa and Mastercard mandates, as well as with relevant legislation and CBC directives
  • Participate in product building with cross-functional teams

Candidate Profile

  • University degree holder
  • Working knowledge of the payment industry and card systems (knowledge of PRIME Cards Management System will be considered an advantage)
  • Demonstrated experience in writing requirements and specifications for Information Systems
  • Experience in Project Management will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to build solid working relationships with IT staff and business partners
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills 
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work efficiently under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills 
  • Proactive, resourceful and diligent
  • Excellent time management skills with attention to detail

We’re looking for highly motivated Engineers to join our new Development Team with a passion for building & deploying robust, scalable & extendible software. The team will be working in an agile fashion on a greenfield project poised to bolster our online offering while maintaining a strong focus on automated testing and continuous delivery.

The Software Engineer (iOS Developer) will be responsible for the implementation of a new mobile banking offering and will integrate with back-end services to create a fully functional, performant and robust iPhone application.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build and extend the modular iOS digital banking platform app with new functionalities
  • Collaborate in an agile team to build clean, maintainable and scalable code

Candidate Profile
