Cyprus Airways adds extra Moscow flight to support Cypriot tourism recovery

National flag carrier Cyprus Airways, now under Maltese ownership, has announced a third scheduled Moscow flight commencing on the 25th July with bookings available now. This follows hot on the heels of the announcement made by the Russian Government to open up for tourism, with Cyprus Airways consolidating its position as a favourite carrier for tourism to the Cypriot market.

Cyprus Airways is continuing to pick up pace as the Summer begins in earnest, with a raft of destinations available from Cyprus that includes Moscow. The airline will be flying the Mos-cow route three times weekly, and twice per week to St. Petersburg.

A pioneer in the Cypriot travel industry, Cyprus Airways operates a 10-destination interna-tional network to Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Skiathos, Preveza, Prague, Moscow, Saint Peters-burg, Tel Aviv, Beirut and latest addition, Malta. Recently Cyprus Airways was acquired by the SJC Group, a Maltese group with operations across Africa and the Middle East, incorporating a number of different activities including helicopter commercial flight operations, and helicopter maintenance from dedicated han-gars within Malta International Airport. The SJC Group maintains a fleet of private aircraft to provide emergency services in remote parts of the world. The company is also a leading provider of fire, safety and security services.

Cyprus Airways was awarded for its efforts to enrich local tourism during the last Cyprus Tourism Awards. In addition, Cyprus Airways has announced a zero-penalty fee for flight changes on basic fare tickets.
