  •  Quality Assurance Automated Test Engineer

Hellenic Bank Public Company Limited, one of the leading Financial Institutions in Cyprus, is seeking to recruit a Quality Assurance (QA) Automated Test Engineer at the OmniChannel & Customer Experience Department.

We are re-inventing our approach to digital banking to breed innovation and quickly take features from the drawing board, to our customers who need them most.

We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer to join our new Development Team with a passion for building and deploying robust, scalable and extendible software. The team will be working in an agile fashion on a greenfield project poised to bolster our online offering, while maintaining a strong focus on automated testing and continuous delivery.

The QA Automated Test Engineer will be responsible for working within the Scrum Team, alongside Software Developers to build and maintain an automated test suite with a constantly evolving set of end-to-end integration tests to ensure product quality. Through this and any other means necessary the QA Automated Test Engineer must help identify and report system malfunctions/bugs in accordance to set quality standards and business needs.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review and analyse business and system specifications
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and the Development Team to ensure the quality of a feature
  • Build/Maintain an automated test suite
  • Create and execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results
  • Conduct tests across systems, browsers and devices for Web and Mobile
  • Create logs to document testing phases and defects
  • Report bugs and errors to the Development Team
  • Report defects and assists in troubleshooting
  • Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
  • Plan, create and manage the overall Quality Planning strategy
  • Identify key KPIs for product quality
  • Prepare and present reports and metrics to Senior Management

Candidate Profile

  • Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or in a related field
  • Demonstrated experience as a Quality Assurance Automated Test Engineer or a Developer
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Hands-on experience in automated testing tools
  • Experience in performance and/or security testing will be considered an advantage
  • Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
  • Working knowledge of test management software
  • Familiarity in Agile frameworks and regression testing

  • Software Engineer Back-End

The Software Engineer Back-End will be responsible for the design and implementation of server-side logic that will integrate user-facing elements with the core platforms of the Bank. Main Responsibilities

  • Integrate user-facing elements developed by Software Engineers Front-End with server-side logic

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop, modify and maintain web services and flows through the Bank’s ESB (enterprise service bus). Monitor the operation of assigned web services and flows and respond to problems by diagnosing and correcting errors in logic and coding
  • Review user requirements and needs for new web services and flows and perform analysis, design, implementation, installation and training related to any new APIs developed
  • Analyse and plan APIs based on business specifications and plan implementation tasks
